The most difficult question of the day - what do we want to eat?
If there is one thing in life that truly expresses our personal values and belief system, it is our food choices. What we choose to consume and put into our bodies is a direct reflection of what we deem valuable.
Eating well is the cornerstone of a good life.
We believe that food carries information. Therefore, what we eat sends a potent, vibrational message all throughout our bodies affecting not only our biology, but also our mood, our psychology, our energy, and our physiology. Food carries the master codes that control the way we think, feel, and behave. Food is also a powerful bridge that connects us with other people, cultures, and landscapes through a shared experience.
Thus, what we choose to eat determines the type of message we deliver to our bodies (consciously or not).
Below is a master guide to our favorite restaurants, farms, food markets, and more. We’ve included a variety of places across Long Island and a few in NYC. Use this guide as a reference point any time you need inspiration or a new place to try.
To be truthful, not every place on this list is absolutely “perfect,” because there is no such thing. However, these are strong lists of businesses that offer something intentional, through conscious food choices, with a message that is absolutely worth sharing. We hold the utmost love and respect for all the courageous individuals out there dedicating their lives to making good food available to us every day. It is no easy task and takes a tremendous amount of heart.
Enjoy, and eat well!
